Roller Skating Lessons - Fall 2016

All skill levels are welcome as class sizes are kept small so each person receives individualized instruction at their own level and pace. Beginners will learn good posture for forward and backwards skating and stopping, as well as good technique for failing and getting back up. Intermediate students will learn proper forward and backwards stroking, turns, cross overs and how to skate sideways. More advanced students can learn spins, squats, jumps or other tricks appropriate to their skill level. In addition to the weekly lesson, each student will receive a coupon which provides them one $2.00 skate each week so they can practice what they have learned prior to the next lesson.

Session 1: Wednesdays, September 7-28, 5:30-6:30pm $40

Session 2: Wednesdays, October 5-26, 5:30-6:30pm $40

Session 3: Wednesdays, November 2-30 no lesson on the 23rd, 5:50-6:60pm $40

Skateboard Tournament - Fall 2016

Skateboard against people at your skill level (beginner, intermediate, and advanced) for a chance to win awesome prizes and recognition. This is not a skateboard only event, roller Blades, BMX, scooters, and long boards are welcome!

Video Game Club - Fall 2016

Like playing video games? Have no one to play with? Come play and share your favorite multiplayer games with fellow gamers in La Grande's First Video game club. One time club entrance fee will give you access to a huge video game library, prizes from planned Call of Duty, Smash Bros, Mortal Kombat tournaments. Come and share your passion and develop new friendships! 

One-Time Membership Fee: $10

Zombie Fun Run 3K - Fall 2016

Experience the thrills of being chased by bloodthirsty Zombies in La Grande's first ever 3K Zombie Fun Run! Each survivor (Runner) will be equipped with only a flag Football belt with two flags and their will to survive as the Zombie hordes charge into the unsuspecting crowds grabbing flags. Or experience the delight of being a zombie, gleefully chasing, scaring, and taking survivor's flags!

Runner's Cost: $10 early registration $15 after October 23rd (only while supplies last)

  • October 29th Runners must arrive by 4:00 p.m. for check in the run starts at 5:00 p.m.
  • Starting at Max Square ending at Pioneer Park
  • Prizes will be awarded to the first five runners that cross the finish line with both of their flags intact.
  • Recommended age is 12 years or older

Zombie's Cost: $5 October 16th last day for Zombie registration (only 50 slots available)

  • October 29th Zombies must arrive by 3:00 p.m. for check in and zone assignments
  • Zombies will be responsible for their own zombification such as cloths and makeup. If you sign up as a zombie and show up not looking like one, you will not participant.
  • Prizes will be awarded to the best looking zombies
  • Zombies are required to attend one of two pre-race meetings on October 20th at 6 p.m. and October 21st at 6 p.m. at the Parks and Recreation building. (2402 Cedar St, La Grande)
  • Must be 16 years or older to participant

  • Zombie zones will be supervised. If a Zombie is deemed as being too aggressive, the Zombie will be removed from the event and not allowed to participate.

Flag Football - Fall 2016

PEE WEE DIVISION: Pre-Kinder, Kindergarten (4 years and older) coach quarterback. Season through Oct. 1st - November. 5th. (6 weeks) Cost: Early Registration $20 Regular $25 

DIVISION II: 1st, 2nd & 3rd Grades will play using a coach quarterback. (8 week season)  Early Registration $35 Regular $40

DIVISION III:  4th, 5th, 6th Grades will play using a player quarterback. (8 week season) Early Registration $35 Regular $40

Coach's meeting will be held on September 22nd 6:30 pm and Meet my coach is on September 24th 10 am.  Games will begin October 1st. Practices are at the discretion of the coach.

Games will be played in Pioneer Park on Saturday mornings (10am). If we can find coaches  and enough students from the outlying communities, there will be teams formed that practice in that community but play games in La Grande.

*Early registration ends September 7th. No registrations will be taken after September 11th.

Session (1) swim lessons (Oct. 4-27) T/TH - Fall 2016

Group lessons include (8) half hour classes which meet Tuesday and Thursday evenings.

Registration opens 9-1-16 closes 9-25-16

If you already have a child in a session and you want to register for the next session, please check with the instructor half way through and they will know if your child will have to repeat the level or are able to move up a level.  This way you will have more time to try to get into the next session before it fills up.
